School Programs
The Nibiischii Corporation offers educational and cultural activities rooted in the Cree territory and the boreal forest, designed for elementary, high school, and Cégep students.
Our activities allow young people to discover the land in a different way, through an approach that combines:
- Scientific exploration of the natural environment
- Transmission of traditional Cree knowledge
- Awareness of sustainable resource management
- Authentic cultural immersion
Each activity is adapted to the students' age and the group's pedagogical objectives.
What students can experience at the Waconichi site:
- Guided cultural and/or educational hikes
- Discovery of local wildlife and flora
- Exploring the territory by rabaska canoe
- Cree storytelling and legends
- Craft workshops
- Wilderness survival, Cree style
- Stargazing and astronomical observation
These activities highlight the intersection between scientific knowledge and traditional Cree wisdom passed down from generation to generation.
This approach fosters the development of critical thinking, scientific curiosity, and respect for Indigenous cultures. The content is tailored to each grade level to provide an enriching and accessible experience.

An Immersive Day at Waconichi
Our themed days invite you to live an immersive experience in the heart of the Waconichi territory, blending the discovery of nature with an encounter with Cree culture. Through these activities, young people develop their curiosity, autonomy, and team spirit, while gaining a deeper understanding of the boreal forest, its inhabitants, its resources, and the ancestral knowledge connected to them.
